For your first baby…you will need the following:

• Diapers, all sizes. Babies grow fast, so stock up on a variety.
• Baby wipes. Buy a lot…you will need as many as possible.
• Burp rags…babies spit up a lot. Good to have a wide selection in different parts of your home
• Pacifiers, just in case even if your baby doesn’t use one.
• White noise machine. Baby will sleep better with noise that he/she is familiar with.
• Clothing. Depends on the time of year. Babies grow fast so make sure you don’t over buy
• Blankets. You don’t want to buy too many, but enough to keep your baby warm…especially in the first few weeks.
• Car seat. That is very important to have. Make sure you know your state’s laws for car seats.
• Diaper bag. Use the backpack method, allows for you to be hands free.
• Diaper cream/paste

• There are other things you could add to the list, but these items are the most common and essential.
